When I started as an apprentice aircraft mechanic many years ago my first boss was a former Canadian Air Force flight engineer on the Argus patrol aircraft. He was a great mentor and I've always considered myself lucky to have worked with him. He also was very fond of the Wright R-3350TC engines that powered the Argus and spoke of the operation of them often. On vacation a few weeks back we visited a small but impressive museum at the Greenwood Airforce Base in Greenwood Nova Scotia. I knew they had an Argus and wanted to see where Jim had spent his time in the military. The reception guys told me the Argus was stripped inside which was disappointing but they had the mock-ups in the museum. Will add a few photos of the engines and display.
