A New Zealand modeler is working on a scale 18-cylinder Gnome rotary engine based on the Monosoupape cylinder. Bill Gunston calls this a “BB18”; my references call it a “Double-N” (I can never get all of these Gnome designations straight.) Questions have arisen about the details surrounding the center main bearing and how it is installed on the crankshaft. Any information about this would be appreciated.
