Hello: My name is Neil Menard. I am an Objects Conservator. I am a renewing member of the AEHS. My conservation practice includes the use of a Pulse Laser in the removal of unwanted material from either organic or inorganic surfaces.
When working with metal surfaces, I am able to remove only the layers of corrosion with absolute precision and total control without making any direct contact with the underlying surface. There is no use of toxic chemical solvents or abrasives.

Sounds interesting. How about a little more infor on the
procedure and the equipment, such as laser energy and
wavelength?

How fast of a process is it? How expensive is the laser unit?
Will you do this process for AEHS members?
Vinegar is a non toxic rust remover, so is washing soda and electric current.

Hello rwahlgren: Yes, I would like to offer my conservation service to AEHS members. Do you have something that you would like to have me work on for you?
