Looking at raw data like this made me think about a parameter that might be discussed in the ultimate engine thread, namely kw/m2 (hp/sq. inch).
It would affect airframe design considerably.
(apologies if this is a common parameter to consider, I haven't seen it)

Displacement vs. frontal area isn't as useful as kW/m2.

eg just making a radial into a two-row doesn't double the result, nor making a flat 6 into a 12. Some designs simply won't accomodate row multiplication (like crank-cam barrel engines with non-sinusoidal piston motion).
