Luca Mariotti's Drone Restorations
Text and Photos by Luca Mariotti

Luca Mariotti is involved in the drone industry and interested in the history and development of unmanned aircraft technology.

He has collected numerous artifacts, most of which are related to the Radioplane Company. These include OQ-2 and OQ-3 airframe parts, engines, spares parts, manuals, photos and videos. Mr. Mariotti has restored a Righter O-15-1 and a Righter O-15-3. One is for static display, the other is a runner.

He hopes to restore an OQ-2 to flight condition, but dreams of owning an OQ-19. He has found an engine, lower nose cowl and antenna, and hopes to locate other components in the future.
