Caffort (France)

Anciens Établissements Caffort Frères of Paris, France developed the large, high-powered HOAE described below. The Caffort engine was displayed at the 1926 Paris Aero Show and development continued for a few years.

Liquid-cooled engine with dual ignition and four carburetors; geared to 0.53 by two-stage reduction using spur gears and two additional shafts so that the propeller was driven co-axially with the crankshaft.
