AEADC, Brewer, Gryphon (US)

AEADC engines were built by the Aircraft Engine & Accessory Development Corp. (AEADC) of Jenkintown, Pennsylvania, under the direction of R.W.A. Brewer. The company announced the development of two Gryphon engines early in 1932. Brewer had been associated earlier with Harold F. Pitcairn in the development of a nine-cylinder radial. Prior to that, Brewer had worked on engines in the UK and published a book about carburetors.
